After being absent in the market for more than 50 years, Samuel Smith reintroduced their authentic porter to the British beer scene again in 1979. Their recipe is simple; water from the original well at the old brewery from 1758 where water is drawn from 85 feet, malted barley, roasted malt yeast and hops. Combined, this Taddy Porter turns out to be very dark, fairly full in body and has an intense dry tangy character of roasted barley.
