We crafted this high-gravity English-style barleywine in late 2020 and lagered it in stainless steel tanks until spring 2021 before bottling. Afterward, we allowed it to “bottle age” for 2.5 years, developing rich flavors and smoothness. The result is an intensely malty and contemplative brew with notes of nougat, date sugar, candied walnut, roasted chestnut, barley malt syrup, dark caramel, and robust black tea. Perfect as a warm, cozy nightcap on cold evenings.
