The Minus Times: Czech Style Dark Lager

The latest installment in our exploration into traditional lagers from around the world. This 4.8% lager pours dark copper, nearly black, with a deep garnet tint. A medium sweet malt aroma gives way to notes of caramel, while complex malt flavors are balanced by a touch of traditional Saaz spice. Medium-bodied, smooth, and a remarkably easy sipper. Brewed with all European malt, the same yeast as its pale and amber counterparts, and all Czech hops (Premiant and Saaz) throughout the boil and whirlpool.
