Elaborate graphic design/description belies expected complex taste...

Very pleased with Half Time's prompt shipping and expert packaging of my very first (and possible only) order of Rush Golden Ale. Notes of orange, caramel, and black tea accompanied by piney citric hop character are unfortunately not present on the initial sip as anticipated. A dry, bitter finish indeed, not unlike some imports here in the lower Midwest (i.e. Sam Adams or Blue Moon). In other words, not as flavorful as one might expect from such a highly anticipated beer. "Much more better" than U.S. beer? I don't think so. Clearly there is room for improvement. Recommend adding more flavor and less bitterness to live up to the hype.
