Cream ale is a pre-prohibition American adjunct ale developed in the 1800s to compete with German-inspired lagers. Contrary to the name, it doesn’t contain any milk or lactose. Instead, the moniker refers to the surprisingly “rich” flavor produced from the light, drinkable, golden brew. A perfect style for lager lovers, Gold is crisp, brimming with real beer flavor, and finishes clean.
