#9 is Magic Hat's "not quite" Pale Ale. Says the brewer: "a beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed." Whatever. #9 is dry and crisp with lots of fruity notes (especially apricot), and made with English 2-Row Pale and Crystal malts and Tettnang, Cascade and Columbus hops.
